More troops

President Barack Obama has sent 17000 more troops to Afghanistan. His statment is...

"This increase is necessary to stabilize a deteriorating situation in Afghanistan, which has not received the strategic attention, direction and resources it urgently requires," Obama said in a statement.

This means that we have not been giving enough attention in Afghanistan, that we are more involved in Iraq. He thinks like many others that the problem is there and not so much in Irag.
We believe that Iraq can handle itself better by using its own military and police now that they are better trained so we should use our soliders and resources to go after the terrists near the Pakistan and Afghanaistan border.

What is your take on the war and do you have anymore questions on it?? Do you think its a good idea to start a drive for the soliders and collect things like letters and cards??
